      Winter storm warning issued

      A winter storm warning has been issued for the northeast Missouri counties in the KTVO viewing area from Saturday 7 p.m. through Sunday 7 p.m.

      Snow is expected to develop Saturday afternoon and spread over the area Saturday evening. Snow will be heaviest Saturday evening through noon Sunday.

      Snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches are possible in the warning area with locally higher totals possible along the Iowa and Missouri border.

      Snow covered roads could lead to hazardous travel Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon.

      A winter storm watch has been issued for Jefferson and Van Buren Counties in southeast Iowa from Saturday 7 p.m. through Sunday 7 p.m. Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible within the watch area by the time the snow diminishes early Sunday evening.A winter storm advisory has been issued for Wapello and Davis Counties in southeast Iowa from Saturday 7 p.m. through Sunday 7 p.m. Snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected within the advisory area by the time the snow diminishes early Sunday evening.
