A northeast Missouri woman is hurt after wrecking the motorcycle she just bought Friday in Kirksville.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Tanya Bland, 58, of Green City lost control of her motorcycle on a curve on Highway 6 about three miles east of Green Castle.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Spring Creek Road.
The motorcycle struck a barbed wire fence, throwing Bland from the bike.
She was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
She was then airlifted to a Columbia hospital for further treatment.
