'A Christmas Miracle' says family of boy rescued by Utah sergeant
SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) - The family of the child who fell into a frozen pond in New Harmony on Christmas Day has released a statement about their experience.
The family reached out to the Washington County Sheriff's Office saying they wanted to thank the public for:
the prayers and thoughtful messages they have received during this difficult time. The father reports that eight year old Jason is doing very well describing his encounter as 'A Christmas Miracle.' Jason is reported as being awake and coherent, responding to questions from family a hospital staff. The father said Jason's situation has been and example to their family that 'God, hears and answers prayers.'"
The family does not want to do any interviews at this time, instead requesting privacy as Jason recovers.
