David Glen Halley, 63, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born August 4, 1954 in Kirksville, Missouri, David was the son of the late Ernest Glen and Alice Pauline (Passig) Halley. On December 5, 2014 in Lancaster, Missouri, David was united in marriage to Kathy Dawn Whisenand.

David is survived by his wife Kathy of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Addie Halley of Ottumwa, IA; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Porter Baldwin of Macon, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Julie Halley of Novinger, MO; one sister, Darlene Hartford of Edmond, OK; one granddaughter, Aylin Halley of Ottumwa, IA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rusty Halley.

David received his education in Schuyler County and Kirksville public schools. He was a life long cattle farmer and was employed thirty years for W.L. Miller Asphalt Company in Kirksville.

David will be remembered for having a huge heart and for doing so much for others. He was very devoted to his family and loved time spent with his wife, children, granddaughter, his Chihuahua Norman, and friends.

Family will receive friends from noon to 2:00 p.m. during a public visitation on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Tom Western, Kevin Halley, Porter Baldwin, Mike Western, Jack Erwin, Joe Summers, David Crabtree, Luke Erwin, Troy Western, Bryan Western, Rodney Cooper, Frank Grgurich, and Danny Murphy.

Family will have a private graveside service at Hazel Creek Cemetery, north of Kirksville.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of David Halley may be made to Hazel Creek Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
