Linda Joyce (Poston) Zeigler, 71, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her home with her husband and daughter by her side.

Born June 3, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri, Linda was the daughter of William Lee and Lenora Katherine (Evans) Poston. On December 5, 1964 in Kirksville, Missouri, Linda was united in marriage to Billy Dee Zeigler.

Linda is survived by her husband, Billy of fifty-two years; two daughters, Kathy Dawn Cook and husband Danny, and Kristen Dee Cook and husband Herb all of LaPlata, MO; five grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob and Jordan Cook, Jonathan Zeigler and Paxton Cook; three step-grandchildren, Haley, Alex, and Benjamin Cook; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; three sisters, Barbara Mears, Janet Robinson and Lois Athon; by her infant grandson, William Daniel Cook; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Everett and Violet Zeigler; and one sister-in-law, Carolyn McIntosh.

Linda received her education at Kirksville Senior High with the Class of 1964. She was employed by International Florsheim and Wolverine Shoe Companies for a total of 40 years. Linda then worked for Wal-Mart for ten years until her retirement.

Linda was a member of the Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside services will follow visitation at Noon on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, Missouri, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Joe White, Billy White, Brent White, Trevor White, Gerold White and Kendall White.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Linda Zeigler may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
