Madison Ann Roberts

Madison Roberts, 2, died in a vehicle accident south of Unionville, MO, on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Madison Ann Roberts (named after her Grammy) was born in Kirksville, MO, on January 8, 2015, the daughter of Joseph and Emily (Villarreal) Roberts. She joined big sister Mia who is five years older. Maddie was a bright, loving, and energetic toddler. She had a big, caring heart and a fierce determination when she wanted something. She did not want to be carried, but to walk on her own, yet always offered her hand to hold. Maddie liked to collect sticks and rocks and pick dandelions, her special wish flower. She enjoyed watching “My Little Pony.” Her Daddy described her as a “spitfire” and Mommy remembers what a tender and compassionate heart she had.

Madison is survived by Mommy and Daddy and big sister. She is also survived by grandparents Randy & Rhonda Penfield, Teresa Jacobs, and Jerry & LaDonna Roberts, all of Unionville, MO and Israel Villarreal. Great grandparents are Gary & Evelyn Griggs and Bud & Betty Jacobs of Unionville, MO, and George and Irene Roberts of Powersville, MO. Maddie’s uncles are Ben (Veronica) Villarreal, Bradley Penfield and Logan Penfield, and her aunts are Mandy (Nathan) Marriott, Danielle (Aaron) Stagg. Madison’s cousins are Sophia, Lexie, Olivia, Eli, Chloe, and Shaine.

Madison was preceded in death by great grandmother Olga Villarreal and great-great grandparents, Doris and Wayne.

Funeral services for Madison will be at the Hartford Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Visitation will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, May 19.
