KC police interview woman in missing mom case

Police have interviewed a woman about the disappearance of a missing Kansas City mother.

Officers spoke yesterday to the Overland Park, Kan., woman, whose picture they released over the weekend. At the time they said they believed she may information about the disappearance earlier this month of 35-year-old Renee Pernice.

Police said the suburban Kansas City woman is believed to be linked to Shon Pernice, whom Renee Pernice was in the process of divorcing when she went missing.

The woman spent more than three hours at a police station. Afterward, police said they had additional information in the case but wouldn't release specifics.

The Kansas woman's attorney said in a statement that his client is cooperating with investigators and is not a suspect.
