Look Up! Harvest Moon will shine tonight
Around sunset on Thursday, don't forget to look up and see the full moon. Since it is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, it's also known as the Harvest Moon.
It's called the Harvest Moon because the bright moonlight provides farmers with more time at the end of the day to harvest their summer crops.

If you're hoping to capture beautiful photos of the moon, Dan Morrison at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications says, "You need a very long lens, about 300mm or longer, a very study tripod and a shutter release cable. But that’s all it takes."
