Junior running back Garrett White has been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week.
White set a new career high with 158 yards rushing and three touchdowns in Truman's 35-27 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday.
It was the second straight 100-yard rushing day for White and his fourth of the season.
He took his second carry of the day around the left side and ran for 57 yards for the game's first score and added a 6-yard TD run and a 16-yard scamper in the second quarter that put Truman up 28-7 at the break.
White was summoned back into the game in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs subdue a Panthers rally.
On his first carry, he gained 19 yard and a first down and on a critical third and five play and gained six yards for the first down and to clinch the ball game.
His 57-yard run was his third run of over 50 yards from scrimmage this season and now has 803 yards rushing this season.
White joins two-time honoree Jacob Lamp (Special Teams), Aaron Hartfield, Tremaine Millender, Conrad Schottel and Austin Zoda on the GLVC Football Player of the Week winners list.
