IHCC's Rhinesmith named All-American second team; Gimenez a honorable mention

CENTERVILLE, Ia. - After one of its best seasons in four years, Indian Hills baseball has picked up two honors today, All-American honors.

The Falcons Jacob Rhinesmith is a second team All-American selection. The sophomore led IHCC in hits with 94, home runs with 11 and RBI with 59. Rhinesmith also had the best batting average on the team at .407.

Luis Gimenez received an honorable mention. Gimenez was first on the team in runs with 63 and second in hits with 84. The sophomore had the third most RBI on the team with 52, as well.

The Falcons won its first conference title tournament since 2004 and made the district tournament. Indian Hills finished the season at 41-20.
