Missouri football has done well on the road agaisnt non-conference opponents

Missouri has routinely handled business trips to non-conference opponents, especially once Mizzou got its momentum going during the program's 2003 campaign.

Missouri is 5-2 in non-conference road games since 2003, the first of eight winning seasons under Gary Pinkel and a campaign that ended with an 8-5 record and Independence Bowl berth.

Last season, Mizzou edged UCF by a score of 21-16 on Sept. 29, 2012, at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando, Fla. Tiger QB James Franklin threw for 257 yards on 19-for-30 passing, including an 80-yard toss to WR Dorial Green-Beckham.
