A win Saturday over Auburn would give Missouri its first conference title since 1969, when Mizzou went 6-1 in the Big Eight and tied for the title with Nebraska (MU won head-to-head tiebreaker with Nebraska that year and played in the Orange Bowl.
The last outright conference title for Mizzou came back in 1960, when the Tigers went 6-1 on the field, and 7-0 in the record books, after Kansas forfeited a win over MU due to the use of ineligible players...
