Sanders wins individual title, IHCC takes 2nd


GARDEN CITY, Ks. - The Indian Hills Warriors will be heading back with some hardware, one player in particular.

Freshman Ricky Sanders finished first by four strokes to win the NJCAA National Championship. One of his best days of the tournament was his final day with a -2, 70 to finish -3 overall.

IHCC as a team entered the day in first but fell by four strokes to Odessa to finish second. The Warriors shot +10, 298 for day four and finished +18 behind Odessa's +14 for the tournament.

Eric Gilpin tied for tenth shooting a +9, 81 and +7 for the week. Jackson Bugdalski finished tied for 15th with a +3, 75 and +10 overall. Julien Sale was +11 for the tournament after a +7, 79 for day four. And Jakob Bares was +21 for the week after a +2, 74 on the final day.
