Truman State defeats William Penn 24-23 on family night

The Truman State football team used a big day from running back Garrett White to rally against William Penn 24-23 on Saturday night at Stokes Stadium.

In front of a packed crowd on family night White had an 80 yard TD in the opening quarter to put the Bulldogs (2-1) up by 10.

William Penn cut the deficit to 3 after an Evan Ressler score made it 10-7.

The Statesmen took the lead following a Zach Tobin fumble which was returned for a touchdown by Nick Dimarco.

The Bulldogs came back with two more touchdowns from Garrett White as they erased a 7 point halftime deficit.

The win keeps the Truman State undefeated at home on the year, the lone loss coming at Grand Valley State on September 14th.
