Truman State improves to 4-2 with win over William Jewell
The Truman State football team improved to 4-2 on the season (2-0 GLVC) with a dominant road win over William Jewell on Saturday.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead thanks to consecutive touchdowns from Conrad Schottel to Chico Orlando.
Truman extended the lead when Schottel found Kurt Loyd to make it 21-0 in the 1st quarter.
Garrett White made it 28-0 with a 7 yard touchdown run and the Bulldogs cruised from there.
A.J. Hartfield blocked a punt which was returned for a touchdown by Tremaine Millender to extend the lead to 35-0.
Later Hartfield added a rushing touchdown of his own to put the Bulldogs up 42-7.
Derek Koon kicked a 32 yard field goal to cap the victory 45-7.
The Bulldogs are back home next Saturday for Homecoming against McKendree at 2 pm.
