Knox County Eagles prepare to face Paris on Friday

Week three of the season was good to the Knox County Eagles.

The team picked up their first win of the year over Fayette 40-17.

Knox County was led by quarterback Donovan Edwards who rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns.

He was also 5 for 7 passing for 57 yards and two more scores.

Even with the offensive outburst coach Alex Vandelft was happy with the defense, "What I was most impressed with was our defense. Our defense was able to come out in the 2nd half and give up two first downs one was off a personal foul and zero points so we're really impressed with that because that was kind of a weakness in the 1st two games so week 3 seeing that improvement was really nice to see."

The Eagles will try and make it two in a row as they host Paris this week.
