Indian Hills golf coach Mike Hagen has been named a winner of the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year Award presented by Golf Pride Grips.
The award, given in conjunction with the Golf Coaches Association of America, is presented to six coaches each year.
Hagen was honored as the top coach in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I.
It's the third time in four years that Hagen, who just finished his 9th year as head coach at IHCC, has won National Coach of the Year laurels.
That coincides with the years, 2011, '12 and '14, that Hagen has led the Warriors to a national title.
The Warriors won seven of the 12 tournaments in which they played in the 2013-14 academic year and were second in two others.
They finished first in their final four meets of the spring, capped by a dominating win in the DI national tourney, where they led after all four rounds and defeated runnerup Wallace State by 16 strokes.
Hagen also won District Coach of the Year honors this season for the fourth year in a row.
He will receive the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year Award during the Hall of Fame banquet at the GCAA Convention in December.
