Missouri to host Washington in the NCAA Super Regional

The Missouri softball team, seeded sixth in the 2013 NCAA Division I Softball Championship, will host No. 11 Washington in the Super Regional round from Thursday, May 23-Friday, May 24 at University Field.

The Tigers take on the Huskies in a best-of-three series, with Thursday's game set for 8 p.m. CDT on ESPN and the Friday game scheduled for 5 p.m. on ESPNU.

A third game, if necessary, would follow at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

Missouri (38-12) is one of just three programs in the country to make six consecutive Super Regional appearances, with Alabama and Arizona State joining the Tigers.

University Field has seen its share of the NCAA postseason in that span, with the Tigers playing hosts to the Super Regionals for four straight seasons (2010-13).

The Tigers earned their sixth-straight regional championship with the squad's 5-0 win over Hofstra .

Washington (41-15), has made five-straight trips to the Super Regional round. The Huskies went 3-0 in their own regional in Seattle, Wash., to advance in the tournament.
