Senior Rebecca Nelson concluded her Bulldog career by finishing 12th in the Heptathlon with 4822 points at the 2014 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Grand Valley (Mich.) State University.
Nelson started the two-day event with a 12th place finish in the 100 meter hurdles.
Nelson ran 14.81 to accumulate 867 points, her high point total in a single event on Thursday.
She then set a career-high with a clearing of 5-4.50 (1.64 meters) in the High Jump to place fifth.
In the Shot Put, Nelson's final attempt went 35-03.00 (10.74 meters) to finish ninth and score 578 points while in the 200; she ran 26.49 to place 15th and nab 755 points.
On Friday, the Long Jump was the first event on the schedule and after a foul on her first attempt, Nelson leaped 17-01-50 (5.22 meters) in both her second and third attempts to place 14th.
Moving to the Javelin, Nelson's second throw in the flight went 108-4 (33.02 meters) to score 534 points and finish seventh.
In her final collegiate event, Nelson set a new personal best time in the 800 meter run by running 2:30.65 to finish 13th in the field.
That time was five seconds better than her previous best set earlier this month at the GLVC Championships.
Salcia Slack of New Mexico Highlands University won two of three events in the second day to win the national title with 5713 points.
