Alex Smith was perfect. At least, in terms of quarterback rating. Smith was 17 of 20 for 287 yards and five touchdowns without an interception last weekend against the Raiders.
That gave him a quarterback rating of 158.3, joining Trent Green in 2003 as the only players in Chiefs history to have a perfect mark. Noteworthy? Sure, especially considering the Chiefs needed all the offense it could muster in a 56-31 shootout with the Raiders that kept them in the AFC West title hunt. Now, Smith will try to build on his perfect performance when the Chiefs play the Colts on Sunday.
Their game at Arrowhead Stadium could be a preview of a first-round playoff game that would be played in Indianapolis.
