Truman soccer teams complete sweep of McKendree

The Truman State soccer teams completed a sweep of visiting McKendree on Saturday at the Bulldog soccer park on Sunday.

The women won 4-1 with senior Trisha Shoemaker scoring in the 17th minute and adding another in the 66th.

Kristina Weishar added a tally in the 26th minute to go along with an own goal by McKendree.

The men also won 3-2 in double overtime with the winner scored by Tony Luedecke in the 102nd minute.

Matt Langley had the first goal for the Bulldogs to go along with an own goal by McKendree.

The games were a part of the senior day weekend for the Bulldogs.

Seniors for the women include: Hayley Bollwerk, Kristina Weishar, Suzanne Pelley, Annie Skornia, Trisha Shoemaker, Kelsey Ridgway, Sally Smith and Emily Bozdeck.

For the men Nick Wallner, Kenny Bader, Jacob Schrier, Tony Diepenbrock, Matt Langley and Dylan Carter.

The women improve to 10-2-3 overall while the men are 7-4-3.
