Truman State golf is fourth after the first round of the MIAA Championship

      Senior Jessica Tomash shot a first-round 80 to pace the Truman golf team to a fourth-place spot after day one at the MIAA Championship at Paradise Pointe Golf Course on Monday afternoon.

      Tomash is tied for 11th overall, while teammates Kathryn Hogan (T-17; 82), Kim Barmettler (T-19; 83) and Lynn Dreisilker (T-26; 84) combined to card a team score of 329 through the first 18 holes of the tournament.

      Riley Keltner rounded out the five-player team with a first-round 98 and sits tied for 46th.

      The Bulldogs are five shots back of third-place Northwest Missouri and are two strokes clear of fifth-place Missouri Western heading into Tuesday's final round.

      Central Oklahoma has staked claim to both the team and individual leads, as the Broncho women shot a 301 overall and were led by Aly Seng's first-round 71.

      Teams will hit the course at 9:00 am on Tuesday morning with a shotgun start for final round action.
