Both Alexis VanNostrand and Jessica VanNostrand drew a pair of walks and came around to score twice, while all three of Truman's pinch-runners in the contest â?? Nikki Moss, Kelsey Jacques, and Corey Niblett â?? also eventually touched home. Kindra Henze improved to 17-2 on the year with her complete game outing
. She allowed seven hits and six runs (one earned), while striking out seven and walking three.

Game 2 Recap - #21 Truman 8, Southern Indiana 2
Another big inning â?? this time a six-run fourth â?? propelled the Bulldogs to an afternoon sweep of the Screaming Eagles.
Danielle Lewellen and Andrea Klipsch each tallied three hits from the Nos. 1 and 2 slots in the lineup. A Whitney Richardson RBI double that plated Jessica VanNostrand in the second gave Truman a 1-0 lead, before the 'Dogs posted a six-spot in the fourth. Klipsch executed a perfect squeeze play that scored Ally McReynolds to make it 2-0 in front of Lewellen trotting home after an airmailed throw into left field by the USI catcher pushed the lead to 3-0.
Cate Simon then singled home Klipsch for a 4-0 cushion before a dropped fly ball off the bat of J. VanNostrand allowed both Simon and Alexis VanNostrand to score made it 6-0. A Leath RBI double punctuated the inning, scoring J VanNostrand. USI would score two in the sixth off Grace Clark's second home run of the day, but another Richardson double to score J. VanNostrand gave Truman the 8-2 win. Lewellen (3), Klipsch (3), and Richardson (2) each recorded multiple hits, while Lewellen tacked on two stolen bases to improve her GLVC-best to 31 on the season.
Both VanNostrands scored twice apiece again to help give Kelsea Dorsey more than enough cushion in her 14th win of the year. She allowed only four hits in seven innings of work while striking out five and walking three.
