A nine-kill night for Kayla Bastian, Allie Brak and Ali Patterson helped pace the No. 23 Truman volleyball team to a three-set sweep of rival Quincy on Tuesday night in the regular season home finale at Pershing Arena.
The Bulldogs (20-9, 13-3 GLVC) hit the 20-win mark for the 24th consecutive season on a night that saw the purple and white connect at a .218 clip while holding visiting Quincy (9-19, 3-13 GLVC) to just a .116 attack line.
Quincy jumped out to leads early in each of the three sets, but mid-set runs by the Bulldogs cut short any thoughts of an upset by the Hawks in the one-hour, 15-minute match.
Patterson led all players with a dozen points on nine kills (.538 hitting), two block assists, a solo block and an ace, while Bastian hit .167 with nine kills, two block assists and an ace for 11 points.
Brak also reached double-figure points on the night with nine kills (.250 hitting), an ace and a block assist. Both Abby Heise and Bailey O'Drobinak put away six kills each to round out the Bulldog offense on the night.
Meghan Zimmerman led all players with 33 assists, while Abby Moser continued her recent hot stretch with 20 digs along the back line.
Cassandra Cahill led QU with nine kills, while Sommer Holder picked up 17 digs.
The Bulldogs take two days off from action before finishing the regular season this Friday (7pm) and Saturday (1pm) at Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis.
