      Truman State womens tennis falls to Maryville

      The Truman Women's Tennis team saw their season conclude on Friday with a 6-3 loss to Maryville (Mo.) University.



      Savannah Everett and Lauren Jin picked up an 8-4 Bulldog victory at the number two doubles slot but Truman trailed 2-1 heading into singles.



      Jin won set number two to force a tie-breaker but was defeated 6-0 in the third to fall at number two singles.



      Marisa Thome was a straight-set winner for Truman at number four and Holly Cantalupo won 6-1, 6-3 at number six singles to pick up Truman's team points.



      Senior Jessica Gennuso had her Bulldog career come to an end.

      Gennuso was 22-45 over the past four seasons for the Bulldogs and 29-41 in doubles matches.



      Truman's match with Grinnell (Iowa) scheduled for Sunday was cancelled.
