he Missouri Valley Vikings used two first-period pins by their two seniors in their final home dual to down the Truman Bulldogs 31-17 on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs wrap up the dual portion of their season with a 6-10 overall record. The team will compete in the MIAA Championships on Sunday at Fort Hays (Kan.) State. Jabez Zinabu gave Truman the lead with a 6-4 sudden victory win at 125 to start things off. The Vikings followed with a major at 133 and a pinfall win at 141. Jake Ekster defeated Truman's Ryan Maus in a tightly contested 3-1 match. Truman rebounded with Colton Schmitz picking up a 13-1 win at 157. The victory put the senior into the career top 10 in Truman victories with 93. Devon Fenstermaker followed with an 11-0 major decision but the Vikings took six more team points with a walkover win at 174.
