DURING HIS CAREER WITH THE TIGERS, HE WAS A BIG PART OF TURNING THE TEAM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AS HE HELPED TURN HIS TEAM AROUND FROM A LOSING RECORD DURING HIS FRESHMAN YEAR TO A THEN SCHOOL RECORD 21 WINS DURING HIS SENIOR YEAR. BRANDON??S LEADERSHIP AND DEFENSE BEHIND THE PLATE ALONG WITH HIS RECORD BOOK OFFENSIVE NUMBERS WERE A BIG PART OF THE TURN-AROUND. BRANDON EARNED ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS AS A SOPHOMORE AND JUNIOR BEFORE CAPPING OFF HIS CAREER BY BEING SELECTED TO ALL-CONFERENCE, ALL-DISTRICT, AND ALL-STATE HONORS AS A SENIOR WITH ONE OF THE BEST ALL-AROUND SEASONS IN KHS HISTORY. DURING HIS SENIOR SEASON HE HELPED LEAD HIS TEAM TO A THEN SCHOOL RECORD 21 WINS BY PLAYING IN ALL 27 GAMES, HITTING .432 WITH 38 HITS (10 DOUBLES, 1 TRIPLE, 7 HOMERUNS), 10 RUNS, 38 RBI, 8 WALKS, 3 HBP, .495 OB%, AND ONLY 7 STRIKEOUTS, HE ALSO HAD A .980 FIELDING %, THREW OUT OVER 50% OF WOULD BE BASE STEALERS, AND WENT 4-1 ON THE MOUND WITH A 3.35 ERA, 4 COMPLETE GAMES, 15 BB, AND 32 STRIKE-OUTS IN 39 2/3 INNINGS PITCHED. HIS 7 HOME RUNS DURING HIS SENIOR SEASON STILL RANK #1 ALL-TIME FOR A SINGLE SEASON IN KHS HISTORY, WHILE HIS 38 HITS & 38 RBI??S FROM THAT YEAR ARE GOOD FOR #3 ALL-TIME. FOR HIS CAREER HIS 26 DOUBLES RANK #2 WHILE HIS 74 RBI??S AND 10 HOME RUNS ARE GOOD FOR #3 ALL TIME. AFTER HIS CAREER WITH THE TIGERS, BRANDON WENT ON TO PLAY AT INDIAN HILLS COMMUNITY COLLEGE WHERE HIS FALCON TEAMS APPEARED IN THE 2003 & 2004 NJCAA WORLD SERIES. AFTER HIS 2 YEARS AT IHCC, BRANDON PLAYED ONE YEAR AT THE UNIVERISTY OF NORTHERN IOWA BEFORE FINISHING HIS CAREER BY PLAYING A YEAR AT CULVER-STOCKTON COLLEGE.       JIMMY STITZER #30: OF/1B/LHP 1988 -89JIMMY WAS A TWO-YEAR LETTER WINNER FOR THE TIGERS FROM 1988-89 WHICH WERE THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF BASEBALL IN THE HISTORY OF KHS. AS A SLUGGING OUTFIELDER, FIRST BASEMAN, AND PITCHER HE PLAYED A MAJOR PART IN TURNING THE TIGERS AROUND FROM A LOSING RECORD IN THE INAUGURAL CAMPAIGN TO A WINNING RECORD IN THE SECOND SEASON. JIMMY WAS AN OFFENSIVE FORCE FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PLATE FOR THE TIGERS HITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LINE-UP DURING BOTH SEASONS. FOR HIS SOLID PLAY, HE WAS SELECTED TO THE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IN BOTH 1988 & 1989 BECOMING THE FIRST PLAYER IN SCHOOL HISTORY TO BE A FIRST TEAM SELECTION AS WELL AS A 2-TIME FIRST TEAM SELECTION. ALTHOUGH OFFICIAL STATS FROM THOSE FIRST TWO SEASONS ARE NOT COMPLETE AS WE ONLY HAVE 24 GAMES OF THE 40 GAMES ON RECORD, JIMMY??S OFFENSIVE NUMBERS FROM THOSE TWO SEASONS ARE VERY IMPRESSIVE AS HE COMPILED A .398 AVERAGE WITH 17 OF HIS 33 HITS GOING FOR EXTRA BASES AS HE SLUGGED 11 DOUBLES AND 6 HOMERUNS WHILE CREATING AN AVERAGE OF OVER 2 RUNS PER GAME WITH HIS 23 RUNS AND 30 RBI??S. HIS 5 HOMERUNS IN 16 GAMES DURING THE 1989 SEASON STILL RANK #5 ALL-TIME IN A SINGLE SEASON.
