Pioneers finish 3rd at Warrior Invitational

The Maharishi Pioneers fell just 2 points short of a second place finish in the highly competitive Cedar Rapids Warrior Invitational today at Veterans Memorial Park in Cedar Rapids. “Competing against Cedar Rapids Washington & Kennedy, Davenport Central, and Iowa City High is great fun for the boys. We played well today and almost came home with the 2nd place trophy,” said Coach Briggs. “I was curious to know just how large these 2-A schools are and so I asked a few coaches. It turns out that four of the schools have over 1400 students. Beating any of these teams is a bit of a David and Goliath scenario, and so we’re pleased with how our boys fared today.”
