U.S. National Library of Medicine traveling exhibit
A.T. Still Memorial Library, ATSU is proud to host the NIH exhibit “Life and Limb: The Toll Of The American Civil War.” The exhibit will be on display from October 23 to December 2, 2017. Artifacts from the Adair County Historical Society & Museum and Schuyler County Historical Society and Hall Museum will also be on display.

Cantril Iowa Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Chicken and Fish Fry

During this time we will be selling tickets for a muzzleloader rifle and a yedi cooler. The meal is free will offering, the tickets are $5 a ticket or 5 for $20. This fundraiser will go toward purchasing much needed equipment such as Turnout gear (the specialized clothes that we wear at a fire), and radio equipment so the firefighters will have updated radios. If someone can't make it to the supper but wants to make a donation they can use the contact information.

5:00 PM along Franklin Street in Downtown Kirksville! The theme for the parade is “Christmas Around the World!”
In lieu of an entry fee for the parade, the Kiwanis Club of Kirksville asks parade participants to donate new children’s mittens, gloves, hats, coats, and scarves! Come and shop for FREE from a wide assortment of gently used (and some NEW) household items, toys, and other miscellaneous goodies to take home or as a Christmas gift to a special person/people in your life There will also be a “Wrapping Station” in case you need to hide that special gift, or to help little ones with what can sometimes be a difficult task, even for grown-ups! As a guest, you will be given a shopping bag. Once your shopping is done, you may proceed to the wrapping station or leave with the bag of items. Each guest has the chance to enter a drawing for a $50 Wal-Mart gift card! The winner will be announced/contacted by 7 p.m., December 2, 2017. A guest may only be eligible to register for the gift card give away if they fill out a church form with their personal information, and is limited to only one submission per guest.
