Drive-thru flu clinic set to take place Wednesday, Oct. 3rd

Flu season is right around the corner, and one area health department is hoping to combat the illness before it begins.

The Adair County Health Department will host its annual Drive-Thru Flu Clinic Wednesday, October 3rd, from noon to 6 p.m.

Locations:

Kirksville

NEMO Fairgrounds

Novinger

Fire Station

Brashear

South side of the square

(Follow designated route signs or personnel instruction)

Ages: 3 years and up

Quadrivalent flu vaccine (No High Dose on this day)


The idea of the clinic is to help members of the community stay healthy at the start of a new flu season, all while staying in the comfort of their vehicle.

The clinic comes at no cost to participants. Health officials ask that those interested in receiving the shot wear a short sleeved shirt.

If you do plan to come out the clinic, health officials say the process should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes.
