We've all heard of 12 days of Christmas, but what about 12 strays of Christmas?

Pawsitive Animalworks in Kirksville has partnered with the Adair County Humane Society this holiday season to help animals in need.

The business is helping by grooming the dogs to help them get a home and adopted by this holiday season.

A couple of dogs have already been adopted.

Business owner Laci Cook and her daughter Clara told KTVO why they decided to kick this off.

"We decided let's go a little bit bigger, let's do a little bit more this year," Cook said. "I talked to our 6-year-old Clara about doing this project and that we could use our talents here with grooming and do the transformations and let the dogs just enjoy a spa day with us. Then, she was going to showcase these animals on Facebook and hopefully find the 12 Stays homes for Christmas."
"First we get them ready, second we get the dogs out, third I sit on a stool and fourth we make a video," Clara said.
