Adair County Library is in the process of repairs after being vandalized
19-year-old Aaron Wallace was charged with first degree Property Damage.
Residents notified authorities when they saw Wallace throwing rocks at a copper statue in front of the library.
Wallace also destroyed "the little free library" that was a Boy Scouts project and stole the books inside.
Library director Jamie Livingston said that the library is in the process of repairs.
"Well right now we are in the process of getting things repaired we are getting estimates seeing about repairing all the damage was done. And I’m sure that the library board and I will be discussing about getting some video cameras in the future to put out around the library to keep things safe,” said Livingston.
Livingston also said there was an act of kindness.
A man who was driving around the library ended up fixing the little library free of charge.
