Additional arrest made related to Ottumwa robbery and shootout

An additional arrest has been made related to last month's shootout in Ottumwa. (Wapello Co. Jail)

An additional arrest has been made related to last month's shootout in Ottumwa.

On Aug. 3, three armed men forced their way into a residence at 831 South Lillian and stole items. One person at the home was shot.

The three men fled on foot and were involved in a shootout with authorities near Liberty Elementary School.

Michael Paul Bibby and Dalton Cook have been charged with burglary, robbery and attempted murder for their roles in the incident. David Roy White, 35, of Fairfield, was killed during the shootout.

It was announced on Thursday, as a result of the continuing investigation, Tiffany Kay McNeil, 36, of Ottumwa, has been arrested and charged with involvement and planning of the robbery.

She is facing felony charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Robbery in the First Degree and Attempt to Commit Murder.

Bond for McNeal has been set at $75,000 cash only.

The investigation is ongoing.
