Artists create paintings of historic barn on the day it was destroyed by storms
NORTH OF KEOSAUQUA, Iowa —
Artists captured the last day a local barn was standing.
The Village Folk School in Keosauqua was doing a Plein Air competition as part of the Van Buren County Fair.
Artists painted pictures of a barn just north of Keosauqua that belongs to Sharon and Bob Galloway.
The barn was painted just in time, because now, it is gone.
Severe storms that caused widespread damage leveled the historic structure.
The pictures displayed in the image gallery were sent to us by Marydawn Schuck.
