Bloomfield gas museum pays tribute to the 1960s
BLOOMFIELD, IOWA —
A Bloomfield man is bringing a bit of nostalgia back to town.
A few years ago, Dan Hutchings purchased a gas station that closed down back in 1983. Now, he’s turned into a museum.
The Pottorff Standard Service Gas Museum brings folks back to the 1960s.
Hutchings says he wants people to remember what it was like back then when they visit.
“Just preserve a piece of history in Davis County and reflect back on a simpler time,” said Hutchings.
The museum features oil cans, additives and even old Pepsi machines.
