Centerville's Pancake Day kicks-off Friday night with a concert

Centerville, Iowa's Pancake Day celebration will take place on Saturday at the town square./KTVO. 

Centerville, Iowa’s Pancake Day is coming back to town for its 69th year.

The festivities will kick off with a concert Friday at 7 p.m. on the town square, followed by a full day of activities on Saturday.

Saturday morning will begin with the Mercy Medical Center 5 and 10k fun run at 8 p.m., and then attendees can indulge in warm pancakes starting at 9 a.m.

There will also be live performances throughout the day from the Harvest Band, Buffy’s Dance Department, Zach Jacob Band and Jake Mcvey, who will be closing out the day’s celebration at 8:30 p.m.

Folks will also be able to take part in carnival games, rides and human foosball all day along the square.
