Ottumwa crews responded to a house fire on 129 North McLean Street at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

Smoke was spotted coming out of the windows and roof of the home.

An Ottumwa police officer told KTVO he did not see anyone taken to the hospital, and that paramedics were on standby as a precaution.

An Alliant Energy truck also stopped at the scene, and it appeared electricity was cut from the house.

The intersection of North McLean and West 4th Street were blocked off to traffic.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
