Drivers injured in crashes on icy roads

Icy roads were involved in two crashes that happened Tuesday, causing injuries to each driver.

The first crash happened at 6:30 a.m. on Highway 3, a few miles north of Roanoke, Mo.

Elizabeth Wilson, 18, of Moberly, was hurt with moderate injuries when her Trailblazer slid off the right side of the road and overturned several times, coming to rest on its wheels.

She was transported by Randolph County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Another icy-road related crash happened at 9:10 a.m. on Highway 149, four miles north of Martinstown, Mo.

61-year-old Deborah Scott's vehicle slid off the ice-covered roadway and struck a fence.

She was transported by Putnam County Ambulance to Putnam County Hospital with minor injuries.
