First Heartland 'Back to School Bash' to take place
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
Early next week the first ever 'Back to School Bash' is coming to the Heartland Tuesday, August 15th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the bash is to bring new students. families and any family who wants to learn more about Ray Miller Elementary School.
Families will have the chance to meet teachers and staff informally.
It's an event held to bring families into a relaxed setting to bring the community together.
Community organizations from around the heartland will have tables set up with games for the kids.
Principal Dr. Jennifer Botello told KTVO this is a great way to bring the community together before school.
"Come to the 'Back To School Bash' because we are a community and it takes a village to raise a child, said Botello. "Bringing everybody together we can make connections and relationships with each other so that we can do our very best to help each and every child in our community."
Food and drinks will be provided and it's asked that you bring your own form of seating.
If you or your business or organization would like to volunteer to set up a table please e-mail Ray Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in attending please call the Ray Miller office at 660-665-2834
