Fugitive wanted on arrest for a felony stealing charge

UPDATE: The Kirksville Police Department told KTVO its "Fugitive of the Week" has already been captured.

Detective Justin Jones said Steve Michael Quercio, 62, was arrested in Hesperia, Calif., by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office.

That arrest happened early Thursday afternoon shortly after Kirksville police announced the latest "Fugitive of the Week."

Jones told KTVO he had information regarding the whereabouts of Quercio, and he notified the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office and provided authorities with an address.

He said deputies went to that address, found Quercio and arrested the fugitive without incident.


The Kirksville Police Department is once again asking for your help in locating a "Fugitive of the Week."

Authorities are attempting to locate Steve Michael Quercio, 62, in reference to an arrest warrant from Adair County for felony stealing.

Quercio is a white male, 5'7" tall, 270 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes.

Officers have attempted to make contact with Quercio at his last known residence but have been unable to locate him. He has been affiliated with motor sport events and may spend time on the road. It is believed Quercio is living in the Hesperia, California area.
