Gov. Reynolds to focus on workforce development this year
OTTUMWA, IOWA —
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds visited Ottumwa Market on Main Street Saturday afternoon.
The event was part of her state-wide “Unleashing Opportunity” tour, where she spoke with residents about their concerns and issues.
Reynolds told KTVO that one of her top priorities this legislative session is to focus on workforce development. She says there are nearly 50,000 job openings in the state every day.
“We want to work with Iowans and help them fill those jobs and have a great, great career. And, be able to take care of their family."
When asked about her campaign for the upcoming election, Reynolds said she hasn’t officially announced anything.
