Head-on crash south of Edina injures two

A head-on crash Monday morning injured two northeast Missouri residents.

It happened just after 7 a.m. on Highway 15, one mile south of Edina, Missouri.

State troopers said a car driven by Loren Carriker, 74, of Edina, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car driven by Nicholas McCarty, 19, of Hurdland, Missouri.

Both men suffered minor injuries.

Carriker was treated at the scene by Knox County Ambulance District personnel.

McCarty was taken to Scotland County Hospital in a private vehicle for treatment.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
