KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — While people are looking for alternatives to smoking, some health experts say vaping is not one of them.
Smokers of cigarettes have turned towards vapes to try to kick the habit, but some health experts are saying it's just as bad.
The CDC and FDA recommend that people not use e-cigarettes or vaping products.
Doctors say that while it can be a "better" alternative to cigarettes.
They recommend you to just quit tobacco entirely.
Try vaping as kind of a transition step to stopping smoking, which if that works for you that works for you," said A.T Still University Kirksville Family Medicine Resident Physician Dr. Molly Thompson D.O. But we really recommend just stopping all nicotine products. Vaping comes with its own consequences and other inflammatory problems in the lungs that are different than smoking, but it's still nicotine and still bad for your health.
