The end of the year is here, and so are the holidays.

On Thursday evening, Hy-Vee hosted its annual holiday show at Bridge View Center.

The Ottumwa High School Orchestra was invited to play during the event. Admission was open to the public, and the cost was $10.

All the proceeds went to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Visitors were able to socialize and try different products.

"There’s different samples. Each department at our store has food and samples. They came and brought some of their best items for everybody to try and some new items. We also have about 12 different beer, wine and liquor vendors that have come today. Some are local and some are out of state," said Danielle Huffman, manager at Hy-Vee.

Hy-Vee management said this is a good way to not only try the different products the store carries, but also help fight juvenile diabetes.
