Iowa vendor says his hobby is now his business
OTTUMWA, IOWA —
Pastor by day, jewelry crafter by night.
Timothy Jeske is the owner of Jeweled Page Creations, but that’s not the only thing he does. In fact, Jeske used to be a pastor in Dubuque, Iowa and now, he’s an administrator director for the Midwest Church Extension.
Jeske says his small business first began as a hobby to keep himself busy, and has since grown.
“It means an opportunity to get out and to meet people, and to do something productive with what would ordinarily be idle time, you know, just sitting around at night watching television."
Jeske says he’s getting ready to retire and is hoping Jeweled Page Creations will turn into a steady income for his family.
But, until then, Jeske and his wife will continue to attend craft and vendor fairs and sell their unique jewelry and accessories.
If you missed it Saturday, you can still find Jeske’s booth at the Quincy Place Mall's Craft and Vendor Fair in Ottumwa Sunday.
