Holiday fun continued through the evening in Kirksville.

The Kirksville Downtown Improvement Committee (KDIC) hosted a unique fundraising event Saturday night.

A progressive dinner took place at three different homes downtown.

Tickets were sold, and holiday cheer was spread at each residence.

The Kirksville Downtown Improvement Committee will use the funds raised to purchase Christmas lights to outline buildings surrounding the square.

"Right now, Downtown Kirksville doesn't really have any lights to put on any buildings during the holidays, so this would go towards the effort to really get Kirksville into the Christmas and holiday spirit." said Chayton True, of the Kirksville Downtown Improvement Committee.

The fundraiser raised $1,400.
