UPDATE: The petting zoo and learning lab originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed due to weather. Both events have been rescheduled to February 26 and 27.

It’s a busy week for the Kirksville FFA chapter.

Starting Monday, students are hosting their annual FFA week.

It’s a week filled with fun and community activities such as a blood drive, community breakfast and the always fun petting zoo and learning lab days.

This year’s celebration started with a hiccup thanks to Mother Nature.

The community breakfast was scheduled for Monday, but Kylie Gudehus spoke with us about the changes the group is making.

Our breakfast is just to give back to the community since they are so willing to always give back to us throughout the year. And just to let them know we're thankful for everything they do and we are rescheduling it for Friday at the same time and the same place.

The rest of the week’s events will also be weather dependent, but if all goes well, here is how the week will look.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be the petting zoo and learning Lab. A mix of fun and education that runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

Thursday will be the FFA blood drive that will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Lastly, like Kylie said Friday is the new date for the community breakfast that all community members are invited to attend.

All events take place at the Kirksville Technical Center Ag Shop.
