Mannheim Streamroller Christmas by Chip Davis is almost sold out.

The show will be held at the Bridge View center located in Ottumwa, Iowa.

It starts at 7:30 on this Thursday evening.

Scott Hallgren, Executive Director of the Bayview Center, tells KTVO that he has been working on this show since 2015.

If you’re wondering where the name Mannheim Streamroller came from, Scott Hallgren gave us the fun fact.

So Mannheim came from Mannheim Germany where Mozart lived. Because Chip Davis who is the creator of Mannheim Streamroller was a big fan of Mozart. So that’s when Mannheim came and then streamroller is the name for a eighteenth century musical technique known as crescendo.

If you are in attendance for the show, you may even see some familiar faces performing.

The tour itself consists of 12 professional touring musicians and they also hired 9 local musicians from the area. Our local musicians from our show right here in Ottumwa are doing some Iowa dates with them.
