The building housing Macon Rehabilitation Services on South Highway 63 in Macon caught fire on Thursday night.

According to Macon Fire Chief Ross Dutton, they responded to the structure fire at the corner of Highway 63 and Patton Street at 9:20 p.m. Thursday with 13 firefighters and three pieces of equipment.

Macon Fire called Macon Rural Fire for additional help, and that department brought equipment and seven firefighters to the scene.

A total of 20 firefighters battled the blaze.

This fire was so extensive that it took crews approximately six-and-a-half hours to put it out.

Dutton told KTVO no injuries were reported, and that since the fire was so extensive they probably will not be able to determine a cause.
