Missouri State Highway Patrol responds to nearly 4,000 calls for service during snowstorm

As snow continues to fall across the area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is urging people not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

As of 2 p.m. Saturday, troopers have responded to almost 4,000 calls for service.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that troopers have helped 1,790 stranded motorists across the state.

The snowy weather has also resulted in 878 crashes, 57 injuries and four fatalities.
